...that when others speak ill of you, no one will believe them." My mother told me that and it's always stuck. It's the motto that I try to live my life by. I have no control over what other people think, feel or say about me, ultimately, but the way I live my life can definitely be a big influence on those things! So I try to do my best, even though I fall short (hahaha) a lot. (I laugh because I'm pretty LITERALLY short...5'1.75" and NOT growing :P). Okay, so I am in my 20's and am a kindergarten teacher in a dual-language program...a job that I LOVE because I have absolutely AMAZING kids that I get to teach, learn from and fall in love with every single day, over and over again. It's awesome. :) I graduated from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) in December 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Bilingual Education (essentially). I met the most incredible man last August...Fernando...a man that I thank God for every day. He isn't perfect...but he's perfect for me. He is smart, kind, compassionate, hard-working, FUNNY, sweet, sincere...and he loves and respects me. He inspires me and comforts me and also tells me like it is when I need to hear it. We got engaged on November 22, 2007 (Thanksgiving day!!) and were married on April 30, 2009!!!! Let's see....what else? Ah, recreation: I'm a HUGE bookworm...I devour books! I also love to solve logic problems and visual puzzles. Sometimes I read the dictionary for fun...I'm kind of a word aficionado. :P But I also love a good game of volleyball...I could play volleyball all day long (nowadays with a much needed knee brace...bah!) and also enjoy softball. I love to WATCH soccer and, of course, Texas Aggie football!!! Whatever the scoreboard says, we always win in spirit! Whoop! I have two cats: Munchkin and Bubba. I love my boys and their crazy cat antics. :) Anyway, that's enough for now. You'll learn more about me along the way, I'm sure. Tootles!! :)
