Some frustration and a few silver linings

Congratulations on the chick hatching out. We are still looking to buy some new chickens at home, after a fox got in and "made ours run away" (that's what the kids tell everybody, anyway).

I'm so glad that you put the commas in: "out of FIFTEEN, folks, ONE has now hatched!!!" For a moment there I wondered if folks really come from eggs ;) Congratulations on your new arrival!

It's nice to read some good news! :)

Thanks for the congrats! He's a cutie. :) Well...I guess it could be a "she." We'll see. Hahaha..."made them run away?" Yes, that's probably much better than "ate them all to pieces!" Good luck on finding some new chickens! :)

LOL...oh, you make me laugh! :) Brightens my day every time! I am kind of a stickler for grammar...and for growing live people as opposed to hatching them from an egg. The one time I tried that, it was a messy ordeal, indeed. And can you imagine the size of that egg?? Let me tell ya, it was not a pretty picture! I was walking on eggshells for a week!

Um...did I just surpass the boundaries for silliness?? :P Thanks for the congrats! It's nice to have some good news. :)

Congrats on the new chick and the one on the way, too! You're right- your sis is a 'preggers cutie.'

On the stress side of teaching/testing. You need some down time. Get a cheesy romance novel and a piece of really good chocolate. Lie on your bed with your feet up, eat chocolate. read novel, feel better. Then go back to school and smile whilst giving those tests.

Well...at least, that's what I used to do and it worked for me... ; )

One gorgeous pregnant lady. You're right.

As for the name .. I'm thinking egg, I'm thinking hatching, I'm thinking bird. I'm thinking of the name "Bertha".

Thank you! I'm not a big sweets eater, but feet up, good novel...oh, yes! Splendid suggestion and it really does do the trick every time! :) Thank you for the comment.

Why thank you! I'll be sure to let my sister know you said that. As pretty much all pregnant ladies, she sure feels pretty big! Such a funny thing...I mean, there just happens to be another human growing inside!! hehehe...but I'm sure I'll have the same kinds of feelings whenever I am "in a family way" myself.

So..."Bertha", eh? lol....that made me laugh. :) Not the name, but your presentation of it. ;) Although for some reason, I keep thinking of the chick as a boy! Hmmm....Bertha? :P
well , what really does the trick for me is a good martini and a massage, dinner out at a great restaurant and a brand new, very expensive handbag, but if we did all that every time our jobs stressed us, we'd be in the poor house for sure! Or, at least going to AA meetings.... LOL
[this is good]
lol...yes, poor house, indeed. But, hey, I'm pretty close to that place anyway, so what's the harm, eh? ;) :P I don't drink alcohol, but a big bag of chips and a cream soda work pretty well. Dinner out...yep! And definitely shopping and buying a new gadget of some sort or book. I don't think men quite understand all of this....
They probably have their own coping mechanisms....
They most certainly do...ones which I, in turn, don't understand myself. And so the world turns...:P
